BTEC Business

Course Overview

This two-year course is equivalent to one A Level. Students will study four units over the two years, covering areas like marketing, human, business structures, the economy, and finance. Learning hours will be spread between lessons and private study.

How Will I Be Assessed?

  • 50% internally assessed
  • 25% controlled assessment (case study)
  • 25% exam

Entry Requirements

GCSE Maths and GCSE English at grade 4 or above is desirable. A grade 4 or above in GCSE Business or a Level 2 Merit in BTEC Business/Enterprise is an advantage.

Progression Opportunities

This course provides UCAS points, allowing students to continue studies in higher education. Business-related degrees include Business Studies, Marketing, Accountancy, Business Management, and International Business.
