Homelearning
Last week and in today’s video message we want to reassure parents of the excellent job you are all doing in supporting home learning. We acknowledge that students can’t work for long under these circumstances.
We are recommending that you encourage your child to study for three hours a day.
- In Years 7 8 and 9 we want students to study using their knowledge organisers in a routine you set.
- In Years 10 and 12, students will be given specific work and knowledge to learn but will be given lots of time to get this work completed.
Can we also stress the importance of reading at this time, both for learning new words and ideas as well as its ability to be calming.
It is also worth noting that the BBC will launching a new education TV service on Monday and parents might find this useful and helpful at this time.
