Safeguarding at John Henry Newman Catholic College

Our priority is the safety and well-being of all students, with robust safeguarding policies and procedures to protect against harm, abuse, and neglect.

Key Safeguarding Commitments:

  • Protection from Harm: Policies address physical, emotional, sexual abuse, and neglect, with all concerns taken seriously.
  • Safe Environment: Our trained staff foster a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Prevention and Education: Students learn about online safety and healthy relationships, with open lines of communication encouraged.
  • Reporting Concerns: Accessible reporting procedures ensure all concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Staff Training: Regular safeguarding training for all staff, led by designated safeguarding leads.
