Please see below an overview of what you will be assessed on between now and Easter 2023 for each subject. Your teachers have also included useful guidance on independent study that you need to be conducting. This is for you to achieve the very best at John Henry Newman Catholic College.
We require you to be proactive with your independent study and dedicate time outside of school to give yourself the best opportunity for success.
How long should I spend studying?
At least 2 hours of study outside the classroom per day. This equates to 10 hours of study per school week.
How could you spend your time?
- 1 hour after school – Year 10 study hub is open until 4PM (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
- 1 hour per evening on a week day (5 hours per week)
- 2 hours on a Saturday & Sunday (4 hours per week)
This represents 14 hours of study per week
